The Spectrum of NP and P: A Probabilistic Approach
This document presents a new perspective on the P vs NP question, proposing that problem complexity exists on a spectrum rather than a strict divide. Using the black box analogy, it illustrates how the difficulty of NP problems is directly linked to the amount of available information—with no clues, the search is hard (NP), but with enough data, it becomes easy (P). This suggests that NP problems can transition to P based on information availability, challenging the traditional view that they are fundamentally separate classes.
