Review On: Comparative Efficacy of Ibuprofen Over Other NSAIDs
The purpose of review to highlight benefits of Ibuprofen over other NSAIDs. A comprehensive analysis of clinical studies, including randomized controlled trials, meta-analyses, and observational research, was conducted to evaluate outcomes in various conditions such as musculoskeletal injuries, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and postoperative pain. The data reveal that ibuprofen provides effective analgesia comparable to other NSAIDs while often exhibiting a more favorable gastrointestinal safety profile. However, differences in pharmacokinetics, dosage regimens, and patient-specific factors play a critical role in its clinical performance relative to agents like diclofenac, naproxen, & selective COX-2 inhibitors (NSAIDs). Additionally, the risk of adverse cardiovascular events varied across studies, underscoring the need for personalized therapeutic strategies. The findings highlight that while ibuprofen remains a reliable first-line option for many patients, individualized treatment decisions based on overall health status, comorbidities, and specific clinical scenarios are essential. This review offers key insights for doctors, pharmacist and researchers striving to optimize pain management protocols.
