EFFECTIVE METHODS FOR TEACHING VOCABULARY TO ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS
This paper examines a number of teaching techniques meant to improve ELL (English Language Learner) students' vocabulary learning. It highlights the value of frequent exposure of new words, multisensory interaction, and contextual learning. Direct instruction, the use of visual aids, interactive exercises like games and storytelling, and the incorporation of technology to produce dynamic learning experiences are some of the main techniques covered. Additionally, the article emphasizes how cultural relevance and student motivation affect vocabulary retention. All things considered, it offers useful advice to teachers who want to establish a solid lexical foundation in ELL classes.
