Specimen has a “ Lectotype ” label affixed by Kingsolver. But this was never published, so this remains a syntype. Acanthoscelides edmundi: Blackwelder (1946), p. 759 (catalog, comb. nov.); Udayagiri & Wadhi (1989), p. 45 (catalog); Romero-Nápoles et al. (2021 a), p. 212 (catalog).
