CF from the perspective of new disciplines
Thoughts on CF from the perspective of someone who is new to CF, perhaps from a discipline that are not frequently engaging with CF. Luke Marsden is a data manger and has worked with scientists from a range of different disciplines and taught beginners how to work with CF-NetCDF files. Luke suggests that it is not practical for all scientists to become experts in CF and that data managers have an important role to play as the middle-person between the conventions and the scientists. Thoughts are shared on how this can be done to reduce the degrees of freedom in datasets and increase their interoperability.
