Research Module; The Effectiveness of the Film Bilal: A New Breed Of Hero (2015) on Improving the Value of Tawhid Among Junior High School Students
ABSTRACT This research aims to test the effectiveness of the film Bilal: A New Breed of Hero (2015) in improving the understanding of the value of monotheism among junior high school students. The background of the study stems from the problem of low interest and understanding of students towards monotheism material, which is often delivered through conventional and less contextual methods. The research design used is a pure experiment comparing an experimental group that receives learning using film media and a control group that uses lecture methods. The research instrument in the form of a monotheism understanding test was administered before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the learning. The results of the study show a significant increase in the understanding of the value of monotheism in the experimental group compared to the control group. This research module is prepared as a practical guide for Islamic Religious Education teachers and researchers who wish to study or replicate similar research. This module contains the rationale, objectives, implementation procedures, research instruments, and reporting of activities. The use of film media has been proven to increase interest in learning, student engagement, and understanding of the concept of monotheism in a more effective and meaningful way.
