Decellularized Porcine Pericardium Supports Periodontal Ligament Tissue Regeneration and Attenuates Root Resorption in a Tooth Replantation Model
This research describes the novel application of decellularized porcine pericardium (DPP) in tooth replantation, in which DPP is wrapped around the root of extracted molar. Periodontal ligament cells can migrate and infiltrate into DPP, and tooth replantation with DPP reduces severity of root resorption and inflammation.
