The Impact of Technology Integration on English Language Learning: A Mixed-Methods Perspective at Dong Nai Technology University

Technology significantly contributes to language learning by offering diverse tools and platforms that improve student engagement and comprehension. This research explores the role of technology in English language learning at Dong Nai Technology University through a mixed-methods approach. It analyzes students' views, experiences, and academic achievements in technology-assisted learning settings. Qualitative data were obtained through interviews with both students and instructors, while quantitative data were collected from surveys and test score analyses. The results indicate that technology boosts student motivation and interaction, enabling more customized learning experiences. However, issues such as digital literacy gaps and unequal resource access were also observed. Statistical analysis of test scores revealed notable improvements in language proficiency among students utilizing technology-driven learning methods. This research adds to the existing literature on educational technology, highlighting its benefits for English language acquisition while also addressing the need to overcome technological barriers. Recommendations for optimizing technology use in English instruction are provided to guide educators and policymakers.
