EXPLORING CORPUS LINGUISTICS FOR ANTHROPOLOGICAL INSIGHTS
Corpus linguistics, the study of language through the study of large collections of texts, provides important tools for anthropological research. Biber, Konrad and Reppen (1998) state that corpus linguistics provides insights into cultural norms, social structures and historical language use through the analysis of linguistic patterns. According to McEnery and Hardie (2012), the integration of corpus linguistics methods in anthropology demonstrates the complex interrelationship between language and culture and contributes to a deeper understanding of human behavior and social dynamics.
