Urban ReLeaf outreach, impact and exploitation report I
Urban ReLeaf promotes collaboration between local communities and public authorities to address urgent climate issues and support innovations that enable more just and green urban transitions and planning. This deliverable serves as a midterm assessment of the Urban ReLeaf project’s outreach, impact, and exploitation pathways. As part of Work Package 6 (Dissemination, Exploitation, and Strategic Communication), it integrates key exploitable results across various work packages to ensure that project results are effectively communicated, utilised, and leveraged for future applications through exploitation measures. The key objectives include: Ensuring the broad outreach of project outcomes to in academia, policymakers, the public and industry. Maximising the socio-economic and environmental impacts of the project’s results. Developing actionable pathways for exploitation, including scale-up and uptake by stakeholders, commercialisation, policy recommendations, and further research. The deliverable builds upon the initial strategy for exploiting project results, utilising a value proposition methodology, applied through interactive workshops with the Urban ReLeaf consortium. The core of this exploitation plan is a comprehensive overview of the range of individual key exploitable results identified at this mid-stage. Specifically, it provides details on exploitation measures, target stakeholders, readiness, anticipated outcomes and impacts for each key exploitable result. This reveals substantial and cross-cutting opportunities for commercial, non-commercial and policy exploitation beyond the project’s lifespan. An additional key component of the deliverable is the future activities to refine exploitation in the remainder of the project. This includes plans for establishing ownership/intellectual property rights, a roadmap of future exploitation efforts, including workshops, Design for Business sprints and ongoing exploitation monitoring. This report sets the foundation for a second exploitation plan due at the end of Urban ReLeaf (M48), which will build on these findings and further refine the strategy for ensuring long-term social, scientific and economic impact.
