Czech experience with asphalt mixtures containing elevated content of RAP – from experiments to real practice

The lecture focuses on a summary of practical and development-experimental (research) findings with the use of increased reclaimed asphalt content in hot and warm asphalt mixtures. It introduces the progressive legislative and standardization modifications that strengthen the possibilities of increased reclaimed asphalt dosage, presents examples of good practice and lessons learnt from some test sections. It also gives examples of some of the technical problems or weaknesses that still need to be addressed, especially linked e.g. to the production and use of parallel drum.
