The adjective is registered as a word that is reserved for poems only. Adjectives provide a denotative meaning along with music and character in their ability to describe the meaning. Out of the 120 adjectives mentioned by Tolkappiyar, 96 adjectives are denotative adjectives. This article aims to identify these denotative adjectives and to identify the usage and changes in the meaning of denotative adjectives, which give one meaning to many words in Thirumurukatrupa.
