Misalignment in Modern Vastu Shastra: Analyzing Traditional Engineering Principles Through Vedic Insights, Scientific Perspectives and Case Studies
Vastu Shastra, an ancient Indian architectural science, prescribes the alignment of structures with True North to harness cosmic and terrestrial energies. However, modern practices often misalign with these principles due to reliance on magnetic compasses without accounting for magnetic declination. This paper examines the differences between True North and Magnetic North, analyzes the consequences of such misalignment, and presents five case studies to illustrate the impact. Supported by Vedic shlokas and interpretations, the paper argues for a return to traditional Vastu practices, emphasizing precision in alignment.
