THE ESSENCE AND SECTORAL FEATURES OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN TOURISM

The article provides a comparative analysis of the essence of different approaches to the sustainable development of tourism. The factors ensuring sustainable tourism are considered. It is noted that modern sources highlight mainly cultural, social, economic and environmental factors for sustainable development. Attention is drawn to the importance of taking into account the specific features of the type of activity in sustainable development. The characteristic features of tourism are listed and the importance of their consideration as a key factor in the concept of sustainable tourism development is substantiated. It is argued that giving importance to these features is necessary for more sustainable and successful development in tourism and ensuring the longevity of activities.
