The concept of development of motor-boat tourism in Volgograd

<p><em><span>This article substantiates the necessity and expediency of developing a concept for the development of water and motor tourism in Volgograd as a separate strategic planning document in the field of goal setting, the adoption and implementation of which will contribute to the successful and integrated development of water and motor tourism in the region. The authors have developed a draft concept for the development of water and motor tourism in Volgograd, which includes sections traditional for this type of strategic planning documents: general provisions and basic concepts; substantiation of the expediency of developing a concept for the development of water tourism in Volgograd; the current state and trends in the development of water and motor tourism in Volgograd; problems of the development of water and motor tourism in Volgograd; the purpose and objectives of the development of water and motor tourism in Volgograd; measures to implement the concept (organizational measures, legal, economic, informational); staffing of water and motor tourism; social and economic effects of the implementation of the concept; targets of the concept; financial support for the implementation of the concept). It is shown that the adoption and implementation of the developed concept will contribute to the improvement of state regulation, the development of infrastructure and information support for water and motor tourism, and the formation of an organized passenger transportation market in Volgograd on small motor vessels. This, in turn, will create conditions for turning Volgograd into a center of beach tourism, increasing the tourist flow and reducing its seasonal fluctuations, improving the quality and safety of recreation for local residents.</span></em></p>
