THE PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENGLISH FOR SPECIFIC PUR-POSES (ESP) THROUGH DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract The use of technology plays a significant role in enhancing the learning experience of students in the field of English for Specific Purposes (ESP), where learners apply the target language in specialized professional contexts. As the demand for specialized language skills continues to grow in diverse sectors, the integration of digital tools such as e-learning platforms, mobile apps, artificial intelligence (AI), and virtual reality (VR) is becoming increasingly relevant. The research underscores the shift in pedagogical approaches, emphasizing a transition to learner-centered models driven by interactive, multimedia content. The study also explores the impact of digital technologies on learner motivation, engagement, and performance, finding that many learners appreciate the flexibility and real-world relevance that digital tools bring to ESP instruction.
