A Cosmological Model of Time Transformation Leading to Matter Creation via Inflaton and Curvaton Fields
In this paper, we propose a cosmological model in which time is represented as a dynamic scalar field undergoing a transformation that precedes the Big Bang. This transformation initiates the creation of matter and the subsequent evolution of the universe. The model integrates three scalar fields: 1. Time Field (): A scalar field representing time as a dynamic entity. The field undergoes a phase transition, leading to matter creation and setting the initial conditions for cosmic inflation. 2. Inflaton Field (): Responsible for driving cosmic inflation through the well-established Starobinsky potential. The inflaton field dominates the energy density during inflation, leading to exponential expansion. 3. Curvaton Field (): Generates the observed primordial curvature perturbations. The curvaton field remains light during inflation and decays appropriately afterward, producing the required density fluctuations without conflicting with observations. Key Contributions: Mathematical Framework: A rigorous mathematical model was developed, with assistance from AI tools, to derive the equations of motion for each field and ensure consistency with general relativity and quantum field theory. Alignment with Observations: By carefully selecting parameters and incorporating interactions between fields, the model aligns with current cosmological observations, including: Spectral Index (): Consistent with Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) measurements. Tensor-to-Scalar Ratio (): Within observational limits and potentially detectable by future experiments. Non-Gaussianity Parameter (): Acceptable within current constraints and offering testable predictions. Resolution of Potential Issues: Curvaton Decay: Interactions between the curvaton field and Standard Model particles were introduced to enhance the decay rate, ensuring the curvaton decays before Big Bang Nucleosynthesis (BBN) and avoiding unwanted isocurvature perturbations. Stability of the Curvaton Field: By setting the curvaton mass to be effectively zero during inflation and including higher-order terms in its potential, tachyonic instability was prevented, maintaining the field's stability. Novel Perspective on Time: The model offers a unique approach by treating time as a dynamic field, potentially inspiring further theoretical exploration into the nature of time and its role in cosmology. Implications and Predictions: Gravitational Waves: The predicted tensor-to-scalar ratio suggests that primordial gravitational waves could be within the reach of upcoming CMB experiments like CMB-S4 or LiteBIRD. Non-Gaussianity: The model's prediction for the non-Gaussianity parameter provides an opportunity for future observations to test the validity of the curvaton mechanism within this framework. Conclusion: This work contributes a comprehensive cosmological model that integrates the transformation of the time field with established inflationary mechanisms. By aligning theoretical predictions with observational data, the model presents testable hypotheses that can be explored with future cosmological surveys. It opens avenues for new research into the fundamental nature of time and its influence on the universe's evolution. --- AI Contribution Note: The mathematical formalism and calculations in this paper were developed with the assistance of AI tools. While the conceptual framework, hypotheses, and overall direction of the work are the author's original contributions, AI was utilized as a computational and analytical resource to refine the mathematical details and test the theory's consistency with observational data. This approach highlights the potential for AI to complement human creativity in advancing scientific research. --- Keywords: Cosmology, Time Field, Inflaton Field, Curvaton Field, Inflation, Primordial Perturbations, Cosmic Microwave Background, Scalar Fields, Early Universe, Non-Gaussianity, Spectral Index, Tensor-to-Scalar Ratio, Matter Creation, Big Bang.
