Russian and foreign writers about the telegraph
The invention of the optical and then electromagnetic telegraph in the 19th century had about the same effect as the emergence of the Internet today. The worldwide communications network, spanning continents and oceans, revolutionized business practices and literally flooded users with a stream of information. Naturally, the telegraph was reflected not only in technical descriptions, but also in fiction. For the purposes of this work, examples have been selected that illustrate various trends and genres of literary works in Russia, France and other countries.
