Corporate Foresight Index
The Corporate Foresight Index (CFI) is a comprehensive measure aggregating various data points to assess corporate foresight. It provides a robust systematic approach for evaluating foresight capabilities at the corporate level. It serves as a standardized measure that assesses corporate foresight capabilities quantifiably. The CFI evaluates corporate foresight by assessing nine strategic achievements that may be gained through foresight. This assessment is conducted through a scoring system validated by a 36-item questionnaire. It enables practitioners and auditors to measure corporate foresight capabilities using a five-point Likert scale. The scoring results help identify the corporation’s orientation toward one of the three modes of preparedness for the future. This paper details the research process that led to the development and validation of the CFI. It includes a standardized questionnaire and a guide to evaluation. It instructs how to provide corporations with recommendations to enhance their foresight capabilities. These recommendations are categorized into three groups based on the score ranges achieved in the assessments. This study contributes to the field by providing foresight practitioners and auditors with a measurement tool that assists them in evaluating corporate foresight capabilities reliably.
