LINGUOCULTURAL ANALYSIS OF SPORTS-RELATED APHORISMS

Abstract.This article presents a linguocultural analysis of aphorisms related to sports. Through these aphorisms, the cultural and linguistic significance of sports activities is revealed, reflecting the worldview, values, and experiences of the people. The article examines the metaphors, idioms, and cultural codes used in sports aphorisms and analyzes how they illustrate the connection between sports and life. As a result, sports aphorisms are regarded as an important source highlighting the close relationship between language and culture.
