A SYSTEMATİC APPROACH TO THE FORMATİON OF AN ACTİVE CİTİZENSHİP POSİTİON İN HİGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Patriotic education is extremely important for the formation of a sense of love and affection for one's Motherland, civic responsibility, and readiness to defend the Motherland and its people at any time. As one of the most important directions of state youth policy, the upbringing of the younger generation in a patriotic spirit is in the spotlight in our country. One of the most important tasks of secondary schools is the upbringing and instilling of patriotic feelings. Mass events, educational and propaganda work carried out in this area are directly aimed at ensuring the moral, physical, and psychological preparation of young people, increasing their sense of love for the Motherland and their native land, as well as preserving national and spiritual values at a time when globalization is widespread in our modern world. At a time when 20% of our lands are occupied by Armenia, the proper organization of patriotic education of young people is even more relevant. In this regard, the subject "Pre-Conscription Preparation of Youth" taught in secondary schools plays an important role. This subject, by its content, aims to provide students with information about the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, the rules of the military charter, familiarize them with army life, prepare them physically and psychologically for military service, create in students the belief that service in the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan is a sacred duty and a matter of honor, develop moral qualities such as patriotism, conviction, tolerance, courage, discipline and a sense of personal responsibility, and form civil defense and first aid skills. At the same time, there are sufficient opportunities for instilling patriotic education in the teaching of all subjects, especially in the teaching of humanitarian and social subjects.
