Етика піклування в філософії Конфуція

The article describes the concepts that are common or similar to the Ethics of Care, a theory that was formed as a result of gender discrimination against women, and the main concepts of Confucianism, one of the oldest philosophical theories of ancient China. It is argued that both theories appeal to good administration and good governance, which should be carried out by a conscious ruler in order to ensure harmony in society. Both theories regulate the interaction of the citizen and society and highlight not the individual subject of action but the subject's relationships with others. Although the Ethics of Care is a concept of gender-sensitive governance that aims to ensure gender equality and social justice and takes into account the needs and priorities of women and men, which is certainly not the case with Confucianism, in both theories, there is not individualism, but a context of relations; not confrontation, but solidarity and care for others. On the other hand, it is argued that there is a strong difference between the approaches: while Confucianism seeks to offer universal solutions, the ethics of care pays great attention to the individual needs and characteristics of the subject.
