Survey Paper on Face Recognition Based Attendance System Using IoT

Student identification (ID) cards or smartphone apps are used in the current method for checking attendance. Both students and instructors may find the attendance checking procedure more convenient if it is handled by an automatic system rather than a manual one. This study suggests an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Automatic Attendance System (IAAS) to achieve these benefits. IAAS is a system that uses facial recognition technology to check attendance. A capturing device (such as a smartphone or tablet PC) gathers the student image data, which is then processed by a facial recognition system. Through an email notice, this system verifies who is in the class and enters their attendance into an attendance database system.
