THE ROLE OF INFORMATION AS AN IMPORTANT RESOURCE OF MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES

Abstract The article is devoted to disclosing the role of information as a valuable resource of management activity. The methodology of the work is based on the principles of scientificity, functionality, and informativeness. In the course of the study, the authors used the following methods: terminological, analytical, epistemological, and theoretical generalisation. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the attempt to summarise the experience of predecessors in studying this topic, as well as to clarify the features of information for the successful exercise of managerial powers. Based on the results of the study, the researchers found that information is the basis of the management process, as it includes data important for assessing situations and making effective decisions, with the help of which public authorities can work fruitfully and smoothly. It is one of the main resources that, according to its properties, is able to accumulate, implement, restore, be suitable for mass use, and retain quality characteristics. At the end of the study, the author concludes that information in management work helps to support management decision-making, establish communication and control processes.
