STRESUL LA LOCUL DE MUNCĂ
Summary. Workplace stress is a harmful response of the body to job demands that exceed the employee’s capacities and resources, with the potential to cause serious physical and mental health issues. Unlike challenges, which stimulate and motivate, chronic stress can lead to biological wear and tear and increased risks of cardiovascular diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, and burnout. Factors such as increased work pace, self-fulfilment expectations, and job insecurity contribute to occupational stress. Effective prevention of occupational diseases and stress management requires an integrated approach that involves risk assessment, continuous education, workplace condition improvements, and psychological support for employees. Collaboration between employers and employees is essential to creating a healthy and productive work environment.Key words: workplace stress, chronic stress, occupational health, burnout, workplace conditions, stress management
