Impacts of Long-Term Exposure to Digital Devices on the Physical Health of Children Aged 24 to 60 Months: A Narrative Review
This narrative review examines long-term exposure to digital devices among children aged 24 to 60 months and its significant impacts on their physical health. The review synthesizes contemporary research, highlighting concerns such as sleep disorders, childhood obesity, and postural problems associated with excessive screen time. The results indicate that overexposure to digital devices poses substantial risks to the physical health of young children. The review concludes by emphasizing the importance of promoting physical activity and limiting screen time to mitigate these adverse effects, and calls for the development of clear, evidence-based guidelines for the use of digital devices in early childhood.
