Beyond lifetimes. What does archiving mean for research data?

Archiving has different horizons, depending on purposes, e.g. 3, 10, 30 or 100 years and longer. Beyond 3 years, the academia has to find ways to preserve data beyond lifetimes of software, hardware, standards, people, and more. These slides describe some thoughts of archivists and data stewards embedded in NFDI.

Abstract

Archiving has different horizons, depending on purposes, e.g. 3, 10, 30 or 100 years and longer. Beyond 3 years, the academia has to find ways to preserve data beyond lifetimes of software, hardware, standards, people, and more. These slides describe some thoughts of archivists and data stewards embedded in NFDI.
