Cardiocondyla rugulosa Seifert, 2003 (Figure 22) Cardiocondyla rugulosa Seifert, 2003, p. 244, fig. 25 (w.) Yemen. Afrotropic. Diagnosis Worker. This species can be readily distinguished from its congeners in the C. batesii group by the presence of well-developed longitudinal rugulae on vertex, the strong and dense sculpture on cephalic surface, mesosoma, and petiole that makes the general appearance dull, and the feebly impressed metanotal groove. Material examined One site: 6. Geographic range. This species was previously known only from Yemen. Ecology and biology. Unknown.
