HPL-MxP Image Configuration on Clould Brain II
The configuration of the HPL-MxP image on Cloud Brain II is specifically designed to optimize the performance of HPL-MxP by harnessing the computational capabilities of Huawei's Ascend processors. Users are required to customize their own image, configure the environment locally within their image, and subsequently upload it to Cloud Brain II to submit their job. This custom image lacks a pre-configured terminal or commonly used high-performance computing software, requiring users to set up the environment themselves. The configuration process involves pulling the initial image, updating/installing necessary software packages such as SSH, setting up SSH keys for passwordless login, and installing essential libraries and compilers like OpenBLAS, ucx, openmpi, and the Kunpeng GCC compiler. Users can also compile their own operator libraries and software packages within the image. Additionally, the image setup includes SSH service setup, directory setup, software package installation, environment variable configuration, and finally saving the configured image for future use.
