Smart Cities Mission

The Smart City Mission is a flagship scheme introduced by the Central Government of India on June 25, 2015. The goal of this mission is to create sustainable and efficient cities that provide a high quality of life for urban dwellers. This research paper aims to explore the different components and features of smart cities, assess their current status and performance, as well as identify the challenges associated with implementing smart city initiatives in India. Considering the global shift towards urbanization, smart cities represent a proactive response to these challenges, utilizing integrated digital planning and innovative technology such as cloud computing to promote sustainable development and improve the quality of urban life.
