Cholesteric Liquid\nCrystal Network Composite Film\nwith Structure, Dual-Band Responsive Luminescent Color for Multiple\nAnti-Counterfeiting and Information Encryption
Anti-counterfeiting technology plays an indispensable\nrole in the\nhigh-tech field and various critical application areas. However, traditional\nanti-counterfeiting approaches currently in widespread use are too\nsimplistic and easily replicated or forged, while advanced technologies\nwith multiple anti-counterfeiting functions remain in the developmental\nstage. This study presents a novel multiple anti-counterfeiting technique.\nBy employing a patterned cholesteric liquid crystal polymer network\n(CLCN) film as a template, a composite film endowed with multiple\nanti-counterfeiting capabilities was successfully fabricated by filling\nthe hollow patterned areas with a light-cured acrylate monomer mixed\nwith commercial infrared and ultraviolet phosphors. The prepared composite\nfilm exhibits high transmittance and excellent flexibility, enabling\nits application across various applications. By utilizing the thermochromic\nand angular chromic properties of the CLCN film, along with ultraviolet-excited\ncolorful fluorescent materials and infrared-excited upconversion luminescent\nmaterials incorporated within the acrylate film in the CLCN patterned\narea, a film featuring multiple anti-counterfeiting attributes is\nachieved. Furthermore, by modifying the mask, adjusting the content\nof the chiral dopant, and selecting the type of phosphors, a multiple\nanti-counterfeiting color image can be produced, which has significant\nimplications for enhanced anti-counterfeiting measures and information\nencryption storage.
