Unilateral Global Bifurcation and One-Sign Solutions for Kirchhoff Type Problem in ℝ

\nIn this paper, we study the following Kirchhoff type problem: -M(∫RN∇u2dx)Δu=λa(x)f(u), x∈RN,u=0, asx→+∞.Unilateral global bifurcation result is established for this problem. As applications of the bifurcation result, we determine the intervals of λ for the existence, nonexistence, and exact multiplicity of one-sign solutions for this problem. \n

Abstract

\nIn this paper, we study the following Kirchhoff type problem: -M(∫RN∇u2dx)Δu=λa(x)f(u), x∈RN,u=0, asx→+∞.Unilateral global bifurcation result is established for this problem. As applications of the bifurcation result, we determine the intervals of λ for the existence, nonexistence, and exact multiplicity of one-sign solutions for this problem. \n
