Biogel Library-Accelerated\nDiscovery of All-Natural\nBioelectronics

Biogels prepared from natural biopolymers are ideal candidates\nfor constructing bioelectronics from the perspective of commercialization\nand environmental sustainability. However, discovering all-natural\nbiogels that meet specific properties, such as mechanical properties,\noptical transparency, and stability, remains challenging. Here, our\nstudy introduces a revolutionary biogel library, a novel resource\nthat significantly accelerates the discovery and application of suitable\nall-natural biogel materials for bioelectronics. Utilizing a high-throughput\nscreening system designed with a frontend/backend development strategy,\nthis biogel library facilitates the swift screening and customization\nof biogels, tailored to meet specific performance criteria. Along\nwith demonstrating applications in soft bioelectronics and printed\nbioelectronics, this research also thoroughly investigates the recyclability\nand environmental impacts of biogels, setting a foundation for their\nuse in sustainable, closed-loop ecological systems. This pioneering\napproach serves not only to foster the departure from petrochemical-derived\npolymers but also to bolster the advancement of environmentally responsible\nbioelectronics.
