Controlled\nSynthesis of Bioderived Poly(limonene carbonate)–Oligolysine\nHybrid Macromolecules
A straightforward and stepwise functionalization of poly(limonene\ncarbonate) (PLC) was achieved through the use of thiol–ene\nclick chemistry introducing primary amine groups. These amines are\ninitiating points for <i>N</i>-carboxy anhydride (NCA) ring-opening\npolymerization (ROP) reactions, allowing us to modify the PLC backbone\nwith oligolysine fragments, thereby creating a polymer brush type\nmacromolecule. These newly prepared biohybrid structures show a clear\nhydrophilic behavior as evident from their physical behavior and contact\nangle measurements.
