Visible-Light-Promoted\nN–H Insertion/Controllable\nTransformation of Diazoalkanes and 3‑Aminomethylated Maleimides
The\nutilization of photogenerated carbene species to perform N–H\ninsertion reactions has attracted considerable attention in the past\nfew years. In this Article, we disclose a visible-light-promoted N–H\ninsertion of 3-aminomethylated maleimides with aryl diazoacetates\nunder sole blue LED irradiation. Continuous flow reactor technology\nwas exploited to improve the reaction efficiency. By simply varying\nthe reaction conditions, the formed N–H insertion products\ncould be selectively transferred to bioimportant octahydropyrrolo[3,4-<i>c</i>]pyrroles and <i>E</i>-selective trisubstituted\nolefins.
