Effects of\na Mechanically Interlocked Structure on\nIonic Conductivity in Polyrotaxane-Based Polymer Electrolytes
Polyrotaxane (PR) is a mechanically\ninterlocked polymer\n(MIP) utilized\nas an electrolyte because of its distinctive property of dynamic molecular\nmobility. While numerous studies have concentrated on modifying external\nproperties to decrease high crystallinity, few have explored the control\nof intrinsic properties. This study examines the crystalline properties\nand molecular mobility of PR-based electrolytes, along with their\neffects on ionic conductivity, by manipulating intrinsic properties.\nBy systematically varying the inclusion ratio, we demonstrate that\nlower inclusion ratios lead to reduced crystallinity, enhancing molecular\nmobility. Consequently, 100PRE exhibits decreased crystallinity due\nto lower aggregation probabilities of α-cyclodextrins (α-CDs),\nlonger <i>T</i>2 relaxation times (0.215 s),\nand higher ionic conductivity (3.4 × 10–3 S\ncm–1 at 25 °C).
