Bioinspired Green\nStrategy to Fabricate Wool Yarns\nDecorated with Hierarchical Structure for Multifunctional Fabrics\nApplied in Healthcare Electronics
To comply with the demand of versatility for protective\nmaterials\napplied in healthcare electronics, textile substrates exhibiting responses\nto multiple functions simultaneously are fabricated with the deposition\nof various functional conductive components. In this study, a multilevel\nintegration of AgNPs/CNT/MXene (SACM) is primarily constructed with\nthe help of silk sericin (SS) via a green one-step method. SS functions\nas the stabilizer and biocompatibilizer for nanomaterials, as well\nas the reductant for metal ions through a reduction-coupled adsorption\nmechanism. Inspired by the natural manner of spreading plant seeds\nby adhering to animal fur, the surface decoration for wool yarns (WYs)\nis conducted by the <i>in situ</i> polymerization of polypyrrole\n(PPy) and loading of SACM, exhibiting feasibility in green fabrication\nof versatile fabric (SACM/PPy/WY-F). Contributed by the establishment\nof AgNPs/CNT/MXene/PPy hierarchical structure, the as-prepared SACM/PPy/WY-F\nexhibits effective electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding property\n(22.5 dB) in the X band, with significant flame retardancy (V-0 rating\nin UL-94 test), superior antibiosis against Escherichia\ncoli, and favorable joule heating performance, indicating\nthe promising application prospects in healthcare wearable electronics.
