Impact of the market model in the electric power system on its reliability

\nIn today’s competitive international markets, the cost of electricity has a huge impact on a nation’s ability to produce a competitive product. The percentage of electricity costs in manufactured goods can be up to 50% of the cost. Reducing the costs of this component undoubtedly affects the competitiveness, and consequently leads to an increase in the growth rate of Russia’s GDP. Therefore, work on the efficiency of the energy sector is very important. The article considers the mechanisms of energy markets, their peculiarities are given. The influence of the chosen mechanism on the required full capacity reserve is shown, and the author’s vision for further actions in these matters is given.\n
