Asymmetric Conjugate\nAddition of Phosphine Sulfides\nto α‑Substituted β‑Nitroacrylates Using\nCinchona Alkaloid Amide Catalysts
Chiral\nphosphine-containing amino acids are useful motifs in pharmaceutical\ncompounds. In this study, we developed the asymmetric conjugate addition\nof phosphine sulfides with α-substituted β-nitroacrylates\nto synthesize phosphine-containing amino acid precursors with chiral\ntetrasubstituted carbon centers. This method showed a wide substrate\nscope, and the obtained products were converted into various chiral\ncompounds. The origin of the enantioselectivity was clarified by computational\nanalysis.
