Energetic\nSalts of Cubane-1,4-Dimethylnitrocarbamate
Several salts of\ncubane-1,4-dimethylnitrocarbamate (CMNC) were\nsynthesized. The divalent CMNC is deprotonated by alkaline, alkaline\nearth metal, and nonmetal bases to form the corresponding salts. The\ncompounds were characterized and analyzed by multinuclear NMR and\nIR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, elemental analysis, single crystal\nX-ray, and thermoanalytical techniques. The energies of formation\nfor the salts were calculated using Gaussian. Detonation performances\nwere calculated with the Explo5 (V6.03) computer code. The\nsensitivities toward impact and friction were determined and compared\nto the neutral CMNC.
