Proposing a method for the analysis of chemical scientific information (pure sciences) and mapping Iranian chemistry based on the Irandoc thesis database

In the present research, an algorithm for analyzing scientific information from chemistry theses (basic sciences) is initially presented, and then this algorithm will be used to analyze the chemistry theses available in the research information database of the Iranian Science and Technology Research Institute over the past decade. By utilizing credible chemistry sources at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as a chemistry terminology dictionary, and with the approval of experts in each of the four branches of basic chemistry (physical chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and analytical chemistry), we aim to create a map of chemical science. In fact, analyzing scientific information in chemistry would be very difficult without having a defined algorithm for the field of chemistry. Extensive searches for such an algorithm have been fruitless; therefore, this defined algorithm for the field of chemistry (basic sciences) is presented for the first time in this manner. In addition to its use in analyzing scientific information, it will also have educational applicability, and with the help of specialists, the scientific depth and richness of the field can be enhanced. The analysis of scientific information from chemistry theses, which is a descriptive analysis, can play a key role in research policy-making.
