Issues of improving Darginian spelling

The article deals with the issues of improving the spelling of the young-written Darginian literary language. These issues were considered last in 1998, but the draft set of new spelling rules was not adopted. Therefore, we use the spelling rules approved in 1979. Currently, there is a need to consider all proposals and innovations to improve Darginian spelling. The preparation of a new draft set of spelling rules, its national discussion and approval is an urgent task of the modern stage of the development of the Darginian literary language. This problem solution can meet the needs of schools and society, and thus contribute to improving the native speakers’ literacy. Periodic improvement of the spelling codes of Dagestan languages, including the Dargin language, is a socio-historical necessity.
