Prevalence and Severity of Menopausal Symptoms on Quality of Life and Knowledge Assessment Among Women: A Community-Based Cross-Sectional Study
The World Health Organization defines menopause as the permanent cessation of menstruation caused by diminished ovarian activity, which is often detected after a year of consecutive amenorrhea. Many physical, emotional, and psychological symptoms are used to accomplish this. Lack of understanding may aggravate the severity of symptoms and risk their quality of life. The current study employed this approach to design a study examining the prevalence and severity of menopausal symptoms using the MENQOL scale, as well as to assess women's knowledge of menopause and its management.
