Patient Engagement in Digital Health: A Systematic Review of Perinatal Care Interventions

This systematic review explores patient engagement in digital health interventions within perinatal care, synthesized using the Synthory.AI service. A comprehensive search strategy adhering to PRISMA guidelines identified 7 relevant studies from PubMed and PubMed Central™ (2010–2025). Findings highlight the effectiveness of tailored digital solutions in improving maternal and neonatal outcomes through user-centered design and personalized content. Despite promising results, challenges such as small sample sizes, technological constraints, and lack of control groups limit generalizability. Future research should focus on diverse populations, extended intervention durations, and inclusive platforms to enhance engagement and long-term health outcomes.
