MANAGEMENT CHALLENGES AND SUSTAINABILITY OF MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIC CENTERS IN ENUGU CENTER
The study evaluated the Management Challenges and Sustainability of Medical Diagnostic of Centre. The specific objectives were to: examine the relationship between infrastructures deficiencies and accurate / timely diagnoses and evaluate the relationship between continuous availability training and cost maintenance of medical diagnostic centre in Enugu state. The study used the descriptive survey design approach. The primary source of data was the administration of questionnaire. A total population of 268 selected staff of the study organizations was used. The whole population was used to due small number. Two hundred and thirty-nine (239) staff returned the questionnaire and accurately filled. Data was presented and analyzed using Likert Scale and the hypotheses was tested using Z- test. The findings indicated infrastructure deficiencies had significant negative relationship with the accurate/time diagnoses, Z = -8.710, P = 0.5 and Continuous training availability had significant positive relationship with cost maintenances with medical diagnostic centers in Enugu state, Z = 10.991, P = 0.5. The study concluded that Infrastructure deficiencies had significant negative relationship with the accurate/time diagnoses while Continuous training availability had significant positive relationship with cost maintenances with medical diagnostic centers in Enugu state. The study recommended among others that there is need to invest in modern, reliable medical equipment to support accurate diagnostics (e.g., CT scanners, MRI machines, ultrasound equipment).
