Digital Trolley for Shopping using RFID and Node MCU

This proposed project aims to design and implement a modular, cost-effective, and user-friendlysmart shopping cart system, integrating both hardware and software components. The system is ready forimmediate deployment and can be easily customized to meet the specific needs of different retailers.Although digital commerce continues to grow in popularity, many customers still prefer in-personshopping to physically examine products and explore available options. However, traditional shoppingoften involves long queues at checkout counters, leading to inconvenience and stress. To address theseissues, each product will be tagged with an RFID label. The smart cart, equipped with an RFID reader, will automatically scan items as they are placed into the cart. The system may also include smart shelvesembedded with RFID scanners to monitor inventory levels and automatically update a central database. This technology offers several advantages, including streamlined billing, automatic detection of expireditems, and improved stock management. Additionally, the system will feature an upgraded IoT-enabledwebsite, providing real-time updates and enhanced functionality for both retailers and customers.
