Enhancing library services via mobile technologies: Advantages, Challenges and its impact on the Future Library Services

Abstract It has been largely noticed that the revolution in the mobile technology has so far effectively caught the imagination of e-commerce and the whole learning eco-framework, although it hasn’t been involved that much in the area of libraries. The rapid advancement of mobile technology has significantly transformed library services, offering innovative solutions to enhance user experience, accessibility, and resource management. This study explores the role of mobile applications in modern libraries, highlighting key innovations such as digital catalogs, e-book lending, AI-powered recommendations, and virtual assistance. Additionally, it examines the challenges associated with implementing mobile library services, including technical limitations, security concerns, and the digital divide. Through case studies and real-world examples, this research provides insights into the impact of mobile apps on library engagement and efficiency. Finally, the study discusses future prospects, including artificial intelligence, block chain technology, and IoT integration, which promise to further revolutionize library services. By addressing existing challenges and leveraging emerging technologies, libraries can enhance their digital transformation efforts, ensuring greater accessibility and user satisfaction in the future.
