Multidimensional Angular Momentum and the Accelerated Expansion of the Universe: An M-Theory Perspective
Recent observations of large-scale alignments in quasar polarization vectors suggest the presence of a global angular momentum in the universe. Building upon this, we propose that not only our observable 3+1-dimensional spacetime but also the seven additional compactified dimensions posited by M-theory contribute to a cumulative angular momentum. This multidimensional angular momentum could provide a novel explanation for the universe's accelerated expansion, traditionally attributed to dark energy. We discuss the theoretical framework supporting this hypothesis and its potential implications for cosmology.
