A FORM OF PATRIARCHAL DEMOCRACY IN THE TAJIK NATIONAL TRADITION
In this article, the author examines the development of civil society institutions of Tajiks in the late 19th and early 20th centuries in the context of historical science. In particular, the author uses examples to show the emergence and development of tribal, religious, and social institutions within society and characterizes their activities within the concept of civil society institutions. These institutions not only conducted economic activity in society, but also resolved the most important social issues. A characteristic feature of the activities of these organizations was the introduction of the institution of elections among officials of the management system of society, which was progressive for that time.
