Transformative Technologies in Healthcare: A Review of AI and Deep Learning in Smart Monitoring

It is in this sense that deep learning and artificial intelligence, in connection, have revolutionized health monitoring systems to facilitate unprecedented advancements in disease diagnosis, patient care, and real-time health management. This review will examine these technologies in the context of smart health monitoring, emphasizing their use and applications in medical decisionmaking, reduction of healthcare costs, and improvement of patient outcomes. Some applications include predictive analytics, imagebased diagnostics, wearable health devices, and remote monitoring systems. These developments have resulted in more accurate and personalized healthcare solutions, enabling early detection of diseases and treatment plans. AI-powered health monitoring systems have also enabled a shift towards preventive healthcare, where individuals can take proactive measures in managing their well-being. As these technologies continue to evolve, they present the potential for transforming the delivery of healthcare by making it more accessible, efficient, and patient-cantered. The paper also discusses certain challenges such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and the need for scalable and interpretable AI solutions. Future directions lie in the integration of federated learning and explainable AI to solve those challenges and further the adoption of smart health monitoring systems.
